Sound card Intel I/O controller HHDA Works after kernel upgrade The original FC5 kernel did not support the chipset, but upgrading the kernel packages to the latest kernel version solved this issue.

Integrated Network Card Works No special procedures required during installation (it's just a 100MBit Card ;-()
Internal 56k Modem Works But I had to pay for the commercial Linuxant Driver and had to install also their 16k Kernel Linuxant 16k Kernel

After some experiments with the http://atrpms.net/name/ipw3945 packages and the unsuccessful NDISWrapper excursion I had to go back to the good old do-it-your-self method:

Changed kernel parameters in /etc/grub.conf to reach better transfer performance:
